We were thrilled to participate in the schools engagement programme at Rochdale Training during the Welding Competition National Finals of WorldSkills UK.
During the event, we had the pleasure of meeting Year 10 students from Oulder Hill Community School in Rochdale. We explored their interests and career aspirations in Science and Engineering. Claire James and Abisola Roberts demonstrated how hydrogen can power a car, explained the role of Modified Atmospheric Packaging (MAP) gases in food packaging, and showcased our STEM Careers Top Trumps game. The students were also invited to explore our A to Z of industrial gases, discovering how these gases are present in their daily lives, from anti-freeze to zinc and many more in between.
We hope our efforts inspired the next generation to consider a career in science and engineering. For more information on further activities we are doing to inspire the next generation, visit Supporting the Humber Community >
