Cryogenic deflashing

Cryogenic deflashing removes the excess material   -known as flash- attached to molded, forged, or cast products. The ultra-low cryogenic temperatures cause the flash to become stiff and brittle and to break away cleanly.

Liquid Nitrogen

Air Products has been designing and manufacturing equipment for cryogenic deflashing since as far back as the early 1960s. Our systems use liquid nitrogen as the refrigerant helping keep costs and cycle times to a minimum and improving the quality of final output.
