Stripping and sparging
- strip out volatile contaminants
- improve efficiency
Stripping refers to the removal of contaminants from a process using a gas, such as Nitrogen.
Sparging is the specific method of stripping that involves bubbling a gas through a liquid, in both cases, the gas absorbs and carries away the contaminants as it is vented away from the process.
Nitrogen sparge
Nitrogen is ideal as a carrier gas for in-line and in-tank sparging to strip out volatile contaminants and improve efficiency.
